As above, all the 150 quid ones on minispares etc are in different sections rather than 1 piece moulded like the original mpi carpet.

Wanted to get a 1 piece mpi carpet, preferably red but black is ok.are they available anywhere??

I don't think they are available new anywhere anymore. Your best bet in terms of moulded carpets quality wise would be Newton Commercial. They do moulded carpet but in 2 pieces check out their web site.

Thats quite surprising no one has manufactured a one piece moulded carpet!

 

I think I will have to keep a look out on ebay for a used MPI red carpet!

I guess the tooling to make a moulded carpet would be huge and expensive. I wonder what happened to the original Rover tooling though?

I would send a PM to R1minimagic - he breaks a lot of later cars and may have one available.

Having removed the one piece from my MPI and replaced it with a Newton one. I'd buy a Newton one unless you're going for concourse points.

slidehammer mentions a two piece via Newton, but I cant find it on their site?

Yeah, it comes in multiple pieces. The front and back floor are moulded to the exhaust tunnel.
It's much higher quality carpet than the cheaper ones, oem qualty. Much more accurately cut too. Short of having an upholsterer do their magic, it's the best available.

They do pop up but very rarely. Normally only if someone is breaking their mpi. And even then they tend to be black.

I remember someone put a red one up a year or so ago that was virtually brand new that they had been keeping in the loft. Made good money unsurprisingly

Got my new one from eBay, there's one on there at the moment but it's for left hand drive cars. Other than the plastic mat that's normally on the drivers side I'm not sure what else would be different, might be worth a look

This guy actually had a new RHD red mpi carpet for sale not long ago, wish i'd bought it now, sure it was listed at £84.
