its been a while since ive given the GT an oil change and sprak plug change, im planning on doing it this week, i also want to change the HT leads.

can anyone recomend good ones of the above?? also anyone know what the part number for the oil filter is, its a 1275 metro a+ as halfrauds' chart doesnt show mini's! how dare they!

i got the bosch lead set from halfords. it is about 18 quid i think.

NGK spark plugs, for a standard/mildly tuned GT BP6ES will be fine. As for plugs and oil filter, standard replacement are all that is needed as in Miniboo's post.

cant find the BP6Es, only 7 & 8ES??
its running 73bhp, so which plug?
how about leads guys, im after some coloured ones?

go to a motor factors. they will be able to get you the 6's they ay be bpr6es.

coloured leads from ebay i guess

Theres the blue silicone ones MiniSpares do. Get the BP6ES, 7s and 8s will run too cold (I think its cold?).

yeah 7's and 8's run colder. i think they rae used in mpi engines

Nah, the temperature is to do with the state of tune of the engine, run colder and it burns off the excess oil and fuel you find in modified engines.

You can get BPR6ES which contain a resistor which should be used with electronic ignition engines.

No Twin-Points/MPi Mini's also run on BPR6ES plugs too! And yes I swear by NGK also!

Yea, because there electronic ignition aren't they?

To be honest, I've mistakenly ran on normal plugs with an electronic ignition engine, and vice versa and didn't notice any performance difference.
