I need a new bonnet for my green mini... It's got a white roof, but not sure whether to just stick to a green bonnet or have the new one sprayed matt black ?
I could and will Photoshop my own car up to see, but it's always best seeing real examples of this. Thanks

No idea how to use photobucket, if that hasn't worked, then look at my profile picture.

Thanks, I did try that but there was no image code. Maybe it's because I'm on my iPhone?

Matt black bonnets are very '60's retro', so are ideal for a Mini. The original idea was to reduce glare from the sun and in some cases the wing tops were also painted matt black. This more on contemporary cars like the Cortina GT, Anglia, etc.

It will look like a green Mini with a white roof and a black bonnet

The modern black bonnet alternative is the exposed carbon type ;) - love mine!

The car used by Rauno Aaltonen and Henry Liddon in the 1967 East African Safari Rally had the matte black bonnet and wing tops treatment.
