Hi all - I have an old wooden steering wheel in the shed that used to be on a triumph spitfire. The boss is effeminately different as its 6 bolt instead of 8 bolt like my current one.

Question is - does anyone know if the bosses will have the same internal diameter and number of spines? Wanted to check before i go and buy myself a socket that fits the nut...

Something tells me from playing with lots of steering wheel boss's back along the spitfire spline and the mini are different

You could always change the boss to one that fits a mini.

Cheers - yea i think that will be problematic too as the cut out for the boss is a different diameter. Oh well nevermind

Are you sure? Upload a picture of the wheel if you can. I've changed bosses before without issue!
