Seeing if there’s any interest in my genuine Revolutions, I'm more than happy to part with them if I someone is willing to pay the right price. I'll either fit them for summer within the next few weeks or I’ll get a different pair. These wheels have only been ran for around 4 months last year. They're wrapped in Maxxis MA-Z1s, I estimate they've done only around 600 miles so the tyres are like brand new as you can see in the pictures.
I purchased these in a very sorry condition last winter and had them re-manufactured by Pristine wheels in Woburn which I still have all the receipts of the work carried out. There was a nasty crack in one, and another was buckled. They have been straightened, repaired and tested (hence re-manufactured) and re-cut. The insides are painted the standard black, the lips are diamond cut and polished to a near mirror finish (re-polished them today). They are not lacquered so can be polished any time.
These are not like the new wheels available, these are believed to have been manufactured in around the 1980s, and the company that repaired them also dated them around that era.
They are showing minor marks, both because of their age and also being used on the road, however there is no curbing what so ever. Slight marks on tyres due to running low ride height and slight rubbing on my arches (no rubber on metal). These wheels take the sleeve type nut not tapered type. I have a set of stainless steel wheel nuts around somewhere that I will dig out. They also come with the caps.
More pictures available on request of wear / tyres etc, Can measure tread depth too.
I’m looking for £550 for the set. I’ll only be re-cooping a fraction of what has gone into them, and considering their rarity I’d say it’s a reasonable asking price. I’ll also consider swapping for other interesting wheels with cash either way depending.
Located Central Bedfordshire. Willing to package for courier if you arrange it.
