Hello everyone I recently purchased a 12g206 early cooper head which has been ported polished, unleaded, basically all the works done to it! And I know with completely standard heads like the 12g295 or 12g206 you have to have some taken off to get the right cc per chamber, but as this has had all the work done I'm wondering can i just bolt it straight on presuming it's had it already worked out as it's had so much done

How long is a piece of string? Someones terms of porting and polishing is different to someone elses.. there is no strict way to do it therefore every head will be different. Best to stick some pictures and measurements up of the head and go from there so we can give a better idea. :)

But is it right for your engine?
How many CCs do you need in the head to give the CR you want? And how many CCs are in the head?

Measure the chambers size properly, don't guess.

As above, you need to measure the chambers and calculate if the current chamber size will give you a suitable compression ratio for your application.
Every engine build is different, so what will suit one build will not suit another. Measure and calculate it properly. Any part of engine building is not something you can guess at.
