Where can i take a constant live feed from

Where can i take a constant live feed from to run my clock on???

I dont know if it makes a difference but i have a center clock speedo

there should be a few spare pins on the fusebox you can use - ive used them before for constant supply on stereos, etc - test with an electrical screwdriver to see which ones are live

OK so it will be ok to take a feed off the fuse box

yes it will but take it from after the fuse not before

i think 1 and 3 are. do you have a haynes manual as it will be in there

Fuse between 1&2 -- stoplights, reversing lights, indicator flasher unit, heated rear window. Only working when key switch is on position II.

Fuse between 3&4 -- horn, hazard indicators, and brake failure light. These work all the time.

Fuse between 5&6 -- heater/wipers - these work on position I or II

Fuse between 7&8 -- side and taillights work all the time.

So no 4 would be the one you want, as if you connect it to any of the others every time you turn the engine off the clock will stop.

No, purple wire is fused permanent live, so wire it into a purple wire in the car. Doesn't have to be at the fusebox, any purple wire is the same thing.

Yes, it is, but unfused :geek:

The N on terminal 3 is for brown, other side of fuse it's purple!


The wire colours DO really mean something :dozing:
