Hi all

anyone considered or actually used this:

Raptor

looks like a 2k gravitex.

I'm thinking of using it inside and out. most likely tinted.

cheers

Ryan

I've been looking at this stuff too for the underside and arches, was wondering how durable and thick it actually is thou and what primers and overcoats people may have possibly used on it

It seems to be used a lot in the US and seems well liked. Quite expensive though.

I used it on the underside of a Bedford ca van and once it is on its on ! Out of interest I used thinners then petrol and other solvents I had to hand and nothing would touch it or soften it .
You can thin it down and put it though a gravity feed gun and get a lot smoother finish like a high build primer , I did this on the inside of the panels as I didn't want to much texture
It's not cheap I have wondered if normal stone chip with a universal 2k hardener would do the same job ?

No, normal stonechip and hardener wont work. Normal stonechip wont have the correct ingredients so to speak to react with the hardener. Its great value for money for such a quality item. Very hard wearing.

On US car forums it's very popular for painting the bed of trucks. It must be a good product if it is so popular as truck beds get a lot of harsh treatment and sun damage. Only the price puts me off really, but then if it is as good as it's reputation it is probably good value.

Used it on the underside of my clubman and it's fantastic stuff, hard as nails! I then brushed on a couple coats of black gloss to give it a nice shine, then it'll get buried in waxoyl!!
