Righto. I've got some GAZ adjustable, short shocks fitted to Trig and have done since the rebuild was done.
My problem is that I've always found that the ride is RIDICULOUSLY harsh and crashy over bumps, even at full soft. Now, I have spoken to two friends that use them (one a stanced Mini on 13s and one a road racer, again on 13s) and both say their ride is firm but not uncomfortable or crashy. Trig is on 13x7s and was running standard suspension all round before rebuild and rode lovely.
Now, Trig runs pretty low but not so low that the suspension is bottomed out sitting on the drive. I have seen cars far lower that ride not too bad.
Its on Hi-Los and using genuine Moulton cones, although these were bought about 6yrs ago which leads me to believe they may have deteriorated and collapsed. Tempted to get the smootharide cones from MiniSport (even if it does mean dealing the MiniSport...!) but dont want to before I know it will work!
So based on the above, do you have any suggestions as to what the issue could be? Tempted to get him back on the road again as my insurance renewal was crazy cheap.
