Did they ever introduce the 16 valve model? 8 in the engine ,8 in the radio!

My Nan had a Yugo 45A back in the late 90s. In fact it is suspiciously like the blue one in his thread towards the end. Same year too

My grandad had 2. The first one was a black mk2, then a blue MK3, with gls spec. We had the blue one for over 15 years, I kid you not. Wish we never got rid of it to be honest.

Mine was a 1.4 poverty spec L model when i bought it. 13" black steels with no trims faded solid blue paintwork but only £300 with a years ticket
I had it 6 months and then someone crashed into it while i was parked up and destroyed the front end so i bought a top of the range 2L cav off a mate and transferred the front end off of the 2L onto mine along with the interior, bumpers, alloys etc and scrapped the rest.
Mine was a pre facelift so when i fitted the new front, suddenly i had a face lift one!
ill tell you what though, it was a bloody good car. never let me down in the 18 months i had it.

Just bought a mk3 astra estate. I would do a Saab b204 engine conversion, but Mr insurance company will fall off his chair laughing when I phone.
They want £850 ish for a standard car, 1.4 MPI, LS spec, with LS alloy wheels declared as mod.

I had a mk1 Astra when I was learning to drive and hated it with a passion. Wouldn't mind a mk2 GTE but never fancied any other GM cars apart from a lotus Carlton or Manta.Just bought a mk3 astra estate.Mk2 cav.I couldn't stop reading this thread.
