Well, it is not exactly a catapult button, but it looks like :-)

Any clue what this could be? It is not wired to anything so it is probably just some device being installed by a PO.

But if it IS something you have seen before, please comment :-)

Does your car have a sunroof? If so i wouldnt press it from the passenger seat...  ;D

Does your car have a sunroof? If so i wouldnt press it from the passenger seat...  ;D

I wouldn't touch it if I was you, its a red button. If it was orange or green that would be different. I've seen red buttons in movies and they always mean trouble, it could be connected to a nuclear missile or torpedo. I have no idea how a red button could have ended up in a Mini, as far as I know they're only in space ships and submarines. I'd play it safe and either call in the government agents or if they're not game to touch it you could, but oh so carefully, put a piece of masking tape over it and pretend its not there. Personally, I'd get rid of the car, its way too dangerous to have hanging around. by the way, don't cut the blue wire.

The wires from the button are not connected so it's quite hard to test 😀

Previous owner had it wired to the FooFoo ;D  Valve they use Red Buttons
