Anyone know what the thread/size is of the bolts that hold the two halves of a caliper together? The part no is 27H4353 but I can't find the spec anywhere ..

The heads on mine are badly chewed and I want to get the guy who's rebuilding mine four new ones ...

These are high tensile bolts. You ought to buy the specific bolts for such a safety critial component. Any old bolt that just happens to be the right size will not be safe.

Buy the proper part from a specialist, not a generic bolt.  This is one of those fixings that is too important to just buy something of the right size.  Material grade and manufacturing process are just as important to a bolt as thread and size.

I wanted the specs to check when they arrived as I'm sending the guy all the bits .. and didn't want to find they were wrong when he was putting them all back together. I could remove one but I think that will make the heads worse so I'd rather leave that to my man.
