quick question as im not sure, does a g reg (1989) use sealed or non sealed beam headlights?

All came with sealed beam as standard.

yep, all use them rubbish sealed units, think a candle in each bowl would be brighter!

Most Minis of that era would have sealed beams, although special editions, like the 30 might have had halogens.
