I take it you have remembered to undo the compression tool..... ?

By the way, be very careful doing this job - especially if you have diy'ed the tool - if it lets go then you will lose fingers potentially if your hand is in there. Don't keep your hand in there any more than is absolutely neccessary.

yeah have taken out the tool just the doughnut seems to big for the gap even used some lube and still wont fit out the bottom

I always use "French pliers" having had one go bang as it ripped off the threads ( was a proper Churchill tool too)

Try twisting it around, the problem is if it's gone very flat it's larger in circumference so is difficult to get it out of the front subframe "tower"

Have you taken out the upper arm?

the bit that joins the top of the hub to the subframe that the trumpet sits in the cup on it

no did think if i did would make it easier but would be hard to get to in the drivers side

You need the upper arm out mate. Can't drop enough otherwise.

Old cone is fat & doesn't want to go. I managed it after removing the top arm & turning the cone on its side.

As before, wiggle. Or get a lever in therel

right will remove the arm tomorrow cheers for help guys hopefully new doughnuts turn up and can start rebuilding then
