I am fitting 12x6 alloys to my mini and they will be fitted under GP2 arches.

You can get the arches in 1.75 and 2.25inch widths.

What width arch do you think would be best to cover the alloys?

I've also been told that 6inch wide wheels need body alterations, what body alterations are needed? as my mini is mid respray just now so would get the modifications done now if needed.

Thanks for looking

Daniel

Ive got group 2s that are 3.5" wide.

Best bet is to stick one of the wheels one at the front and measure the distance it sticks out in the middle top, and see which would fit.

Modifications are to cut some of the wing away just in front of the wheel as when you turn the wheel the outer edge catches because its wider.
How much depends on the wheels your fitting, but you could just take off enough for 13s.

I havent bought the new wheels yet as i cant decide on a set and its gettin sprayed this week so he needs the arches for next week so he can finish the body.

Im thinking getting the wider ones then if the wheels are lost under them fitting spacers but then i ahve the problem with wheel bearings wearing out faster etc....

i do 3 different size Gp2s, 2 different size Gp5, SMB Gp5, EUROs, Gp R, Sportspack, Rally, X-Cross and no doubt others that i cant remember.

It all depends on width of wheel and tyre, since you dont want to be on the wrong side of the law do you.
