can someone tell me / confirm that the later spi miinis have a 16 pin obd2 type plug under the dash and not the 3 pin plug under the bonnet ?????

 

as I am looking for a code reader and someone asked me which type of plug I have

I don't even know where it is under the dash but will look tomorrow

never noticed anything before - amazed that you can fit anything else in these minis it's allready overflowing

Mine 98 Jap SPI has 16 pin plug.

Depends on year my 1996 has the 3 pin next to the brake servo. It's the earlier J spec with a coil, the later ones with a coil pack but still the single injector (as the injection ones all had) will have the 16 pin plug next to the heater inside the car.
