Ok here we go. MKI Mini running Negative earth with points & dynamo.

Just rebuilt & all works fine, except the ignition light stays on!. It will dim slightly when increasing the revs but is still on.

Dynamo produces good readings & all through the charging system.

I have even tried another good & known working Dynamo & regulator box, but it produces near enough the same readings.

Warning bulb holder & wiring is fine.

I do have an in line smiths tacho which has ironically stopped working now. Although the problem still exists when I take this out of the loop.

I have changed the ignition switch from last time & just wondering if this could feed it (wiring is the same though).

Anyone come across this problem?.

Since you have swapped out the components it is hard to see where this problem is coming from.  You said the dynamo output is good.  How did you determine this?

Even when swapping parts, the control box could have oxidized or coated contacts preventing the light from going out.  Though not the best practice you may want to try cleaning the contacts by dragging some coarse cloth soaked in brake cleaner through the control box contact points.  I cannot advise you on control box adjustments.  It's an area I have stayed away from.
