Hi all ,

 

I have just rescued this rare original car from an old chicken shed .

 

I already have a MK1 project on the go so cant possibly take on another full resto as this one will be !

 

This car comes with its original engine/wheels/trim etc and shows just 66,000 miles and i have lots of old (mice bitten) mots to back up the miles.

 

The seller has lost the keys so the steering lock is on however he assures me that he has them and will call me when they turn up (the chap that moved them is away for a week).

 

Engine condition is unknown as all i have done is open the bonnet however i can see that the dizzy is missing?

 

I have the wheels with GT hubcaps in my van plus a matching rear bullbar.W&P

Offers around £1000+ i guess from what i can see others going for and the car will be cash on collection from Epping in Essex

Checked engine code and came back as 

 

12H706            1275GT with alternator, negative earth, mechanical fuel pump and rod change gearbox

 

Engine number matches logbook

 

First part of chassis number is XE2D2

Seems like a bargain to me for a genuine car, would be tempted myself if it weren't for possible divorce threats over any more projects.

No ! Looks like i will have to strip the steering column down to disable the lock .
