count your lucky starts pip!! :D

its not just you, happened to me yesterday too. i was going along the road behind a taxi who was turning left into a minor road so i went to around him and as i did some friggin idiot in a 206 decided to go from the minor onto my road right infront of me! i smacked the brakes on and stopped dead! (i was doing about 36 and stopped instantly! good ol' drum brakes! ;) ) left 2 nice skid marks on the road!

i find that happening quite a lot, you find other drivers have difficulty seeing you if your behind someone else as the car is sooo small its just over-shadowed by the one infront! glad your OK though! did you go over a kerb or anything? check your ball joints etc if you did because my mum hit a kerb going around a roundabout and snapped her ball joint and roll bar end (in an 18,000 mile Clio!) the other week!

But don't let this experience scare from driving your mini, dude! :xxx:

Sorry but "SPACKHEAD" is offensive first of all... yeah no I have had road problems for a few weeks now overtaking people then they speed up and lorry nearly hit me andetc etc

Only the last few weeks though normally fine dont think they like me overtaking them in the outside lane of the motorway well I do do 100miles a day ine her lol ;-)

I nearly hit someone the other day, he was on the outside lane of a two lane roundabout and I was going around the inside and the prat started to come over into my lane as he was going around, the cheeky tosspot even had the nerve to swear at me when it wasnt my fault (ok I was going quite fast hehe)

People just arent aware of what is going on when they are driving :D

I get bullied by 4x4's They think they own the :xxx: road. But your right too, it's hard for cars to see you if your behind another. They just don't expect a little pocket rocket to come flying out at them :D I had someone nearly rear end me (easy now) on a slip road cause they didn't think i'd be overtaking the car in front. This  came off the motorway about 110 and had to skid on the hatch marks before nearly running me off the road and swearing like a good un. People really need to chill out when they drive. If everyone drove a mini they'd remember it is actually fun to drive not just a means for getting A to B.

RANT nearly over

One more. Rush hour kinda times have you noticed how people just look forward. They have a mission to get home on record time after the amazingly stressed day they have had picking up the phone. Just don't care about anyone else.

And..........................that rant over. Tell you what feel sooooo much better now ;)

sorry to anyone who finds that offencice but it dosent mean to be directed at anyone impitullar, its how i feel towars myself, its in my sig so it is about me, sorry if anyone has taken it the wrong way.

also the cheek of the guy was 'you should be doing the speed limit' i was doing 30 in a 30, because my wheels are soo skinny i got no grip. iv been having such a bad time atm i jsut said that, and drove off. it was crasy but shows me the beating a mini can take. i bounced sideways over one of those trafic islands, lucky no1 was in the way and nothing was there.

Couldnt agree more with that, but lets not forget the people that drive at 55ph in the middle lane of the motorway during rush hour and dont think to look at the inside lane when they eventually move over to it !

Very true. Maybe thier necks stop working after 5pm and they can't turn to look. Plus do they think it's safer for them to sit in the middle lane??? I knew people once that said they stayed in the middle lane so when they come up to junctions they don't have to move over!!!!! They were old driving instructors too!!!!! My god we're all doomed....

if you hit a kerb at 30mph i strongly suggest you go get your car checked out, its likely to have done allsorts to it. I know its not what you want to hear at the moment, but its better than your car letting go at 40+ mph or on a roundabout or whatever :'(

I say you park your car up this weekend and go have a few too many drinks :D

bad luck pip. while my cars in the bodyshop i've been driving my dads isuzu trooper. its amazing how many more people give way to you on the roads just because your in a big car. people just dont seem to notice minis, or think they can bully you because their shiny X5 or range rover is bigger than you. my particular gripe: has anybody noticed how clear the roads are at rush hour at the moment? because the kids are off school. why do people need to drive their kid to school? make the lazy little bleeders walk, its no wonder theres an obesity problem in this country. :D

Near Empty M20 near ashford the other night. Some Bleep Bleep, in a toyota Previer sitting in the middle lane at bout 60mph. I just caught him up in the inside lane, and stay just level with him. It amazing how much they panic and start to speed up. Got him up to 80 lol! he kept edging towards my car but i was good and stood my ground.

Then when it came to me meating traffic ahead, i slowed down in plenty of time, dropped behind him, and moved to middle lane. Straight after he had over taken the lorry, he moved to inside lane, at bout 60 again.

I feel i proved a point that day, and he learnt his lesson!

Still think its a shame i didnt stop him comming off the motorway at the junction he had wanted to!
