Hi all,
My Mini's developed a strange noise that comes on at low speed and then goes again above 20 mph and it only happens after the car has been driven for about half an hour. It seems to be coming from the inner pod joint or driveshaft area? Would anyone on here be able to recognise the noise/have any ideas please as I'm baffled?? It's recently had driveshaft seals and housing gaskets fitted. Sorry about the quality of the video but I was under the car, turning the road wheel whilst holding my phone!

Thank you

Paul

Check for crap in your rotor shields. Check for stuff catching on the rubbers.

Thanks for the ideas, I've checked both and they were clear. I sprayed the inner joint boot with WD40 which didn't make any difference until I sprayed the joint where it joins the diff and it all went quiet!! I'm yet to take it for a spin and I don't think WD40 will cure it but has anyone got any ideas what could be causing it?

Anyone please??

Took it for a ride and it was quiet for a while, sprayed inner joint with WD40 again and gone quiet until the next time when the WD40 dries out. Has anyone got any ideas?? sounds like a rubber noise rubbing on something in the joint?? could it be the driveshaft seal not positioned possibly???
