Since I've had my mini the fuel gauge doesn't read correctly. When I fill my tank it shows up between 1/2 and 3/4 full and then sits on empty for quite a while before actually being low on fuel. Is this just a new tank sensor or could it be something else?

Could be the float is split and its got some fuel inside, whip the sender out when the tanks below the mark and check it, if its ok work it over the full range to see if the track is damaged.
