I'm having trouble with ST bushes supplied by Minispares. The bushes are not faulty at all but when I fit a pair to the front offside trunnion and tighten the trunnion support pin and nut, the inner bush gets pulled too far into the trunnion. This has the action of "shredding" the larger diameter section, which then peels off.
If I place a pair of the bushes either side of the trunnion, but bot through the hole, the bushes do not meet in the middle, which is why the inner one gets pulled in too far when all is tightened up.
It's almost as though the larger diameter part of the bush is too wide. I don't really want to start trying to cut a bit off this bush to make it fit without shredding. The front nearside does the same thing but not too such an extent that the bush shreds.

For info, the subframe and trunnions are all genuine and the bushes are part No 2A5818.
The car is a BMH bodyshell and the trunnions are the stepped type with 2 different mounting bolt lengths and are the correct type for the 2 bush mounting.
