Try here at the Midland Auto Club web site.

http://www.midlandau...bileclub.co.uk/

They are based at Shelsley Walsh in Worcestershire.

They do Driving School days so you can try it out and get a bit of tuition

There's a good event at Shelsley on the weekend of the 18th and 19th of July, there are a few Minis on the entry as well as various other older classic machinery.

Other hill climbs are Harewood, just noth of Leeds

and Prescot, near Cheltenham, they also have driving schools days

Find your local motor club and go along to one of there social meetings. That's what i did. Everyone seemed keen to talk to me about what went on and gave good advice ect

Auto grass class one is a very cheap and fun motor sport with a ropey old 998. Plenty of clubs around and rules and regs are very simple.

It all depends on what you really want to do. You can turn up in your standard road registered car and have fun or you can start changing your wheels when you get there to slicks or you can trailer your mod prod lightweight car there.

It all comes down to budget.

Best bet is to turn up to watch and have a chat to some of the Mini owners.

Minicross can be a good place to start:-
