How Tight Should Clutch Preasure Plate To Flywheel Bolts Be? (Verto)

Hi,I've heard somewhere it's only like 3 kgm but the bolts are quite stiff, so it takes more torque than that to get them touching the preasure plate, is it a case of tighten them as much as you can without it warping? Cheers

16ftlb which is actually less than 3kgm, you should use NM or Lbft as the scale is a lot smaller than KGM

 

if the screws are too tight then there's probably a problem with the screws or the thread into which they are being inserted, however, if you're trying to attach an extremely strong spring then you may need additional force, which may indicate that you need to modify the screw and thread to a larger size to 'take' the additional pressure of the plate.

25Nm which is just over 18lbft.

I think people got confused with the flywheel hub bolts (not clear in a Haynes edition) so may have been tightened to the wrong torque.
