Does anyone have any tips on fitting the plastic trim over the wheelarches (group 2) and along the sill - I'm struggling to get a smooth transition from the curve of the arches to the straight body flange above the sills?
Any advice would be appreciated.

I struggled with this before, I find the best way is to cut a thin strip of metal and insert it into the part of the trim you want to bend.  Now get a cut of hot water and pour it over the area to be bent,

Now bend the trim gently, using the metal strip as a former/kink stopper.

Worked well last time I did it

Use a hair-dryer or heat gun on a low setting to warm and soften the strip.

I'm about to embark on this for the first time.

Is the Shifty method, using a length of straight strip then warming/forming, necessary for the wheel arch too, or just for the sharp transition from arch to sill ? Somewhere I saw advice about putting it ALL in hot water.

I've just got mine from Mini Sport and the "coil" is reluctant to relax and go straight.

Any detailed advice very welcome.

What fixings do people use to make sure the stuff stays in place please ?

Again, all you need is a heat gun or hair dryer set on a low heat, plus someone to help by holding the heat gun whilst you shape the trim onto the lip.

Use the small metal clips to hold it on which are fitted all along the flange before you start.

Do it very gently.

I put mine (and the delux strip is easier) in the shower tray/bath full of hot water first, then run it through your fingers reversing the coil bend, maybe twice to get it all but straight. Then to the car with Hot air gun/hairdryer. After I run Waxoyl heated in hot water down into the joint and wipe off excess
