Hey all, was just wondering if this was normal? Taken some photos of my head gasket as it looks like it may be on its way out. Haven't noticed anything different and is running fine. Been told it could be de laminating? or its gasket filler. Not sure..

Thanks in advance.

It could be down to age etc but if you are not using water or see any water in the oil, lack of power, funny noises then it's more than likely ok.

My replacement HG leaked a small amount of oil/fluid but drove fine. I did replace it again though with a Payen HG and it was fine after that.

So if you are concerned then change it but get a decent HG. It won't need the head skimming, just a good clean up. You may want to decoke the head and valves, and as a precaution replace the valve stem seals.
