Hi all

I am going to be putting my rebuild metro engine in my mini but which exhaust system would suit?

I have an lcb and small bore single box rc40 system on a 998 would this do?
Tks

if the metero engine is not a big bore crazy thing then it is basically the same as the Mini engine so it will be fine.

So are you now fitting a MG metro motor ?

Then I small bore LCB is too small. A medium is better but not a large.

Re the needle is it a standard engine bug with an LCB or?...

Try BDL to start with - that is the original MG needle. If you change the exhaust (single box RC40 etc) and maybe run a performance air filter set-up, get the car to a rolling road to get the needle profile optimised.

The small bore LCB will be fine on a road engine. A medium bore would be better, but if you've already got a small bore LCB its no travesty. If anything it'll help bottom end torque (what you want in a road motor).
