This is what the MPi manual has for oil temps:

Oil temperature gauge (if fitted)
Indicates the temperature of the engine oil. For gentle and moderate
speed driving, expect the pointer to rest between 90° C and 120° C
(2nd and 3rd graduations on the gauge). Sustained high speed
motoring may cause the temperature to rise to 150° C (4th
graduation on the gauge - on the edge of the RED zone). If the
pointer enters the RED zone, you must reduce road speed
immediately and drive GENTLY until the temperature falls below
150° C. If the oil temperature does not fall, stop the car as soon as
safety permits and seek qualified assistance.

Seems a little hot to me?

Mine seems to stay within 90-120, but if it got close to 150 I would be very concerned.

150 is too hot in my opinion. Anything more than 120 then its time to think about an oil cooler. I havent got an oil temp gauge in my mini but i have in my other car, 90 is up to temperature on the road. Mine peaks at about 120 on a track session

Oil always works at a hotter temp than water, but 150 does seem excessive but the advice is good.
