Hi,

I stripped down my Spi's brake master cylinder and there's scoring inside so will be buying a new one instead of rebuilding it. It's now the turn of the servo which has a rusty surface to the casing. I don't the o ring between servo and master cylinder had much of a sealing effect when I removed it.

How easy is it to rebuild it? Does the casing have to be split open? Plenty of places will sell you the rebuild kit. I've spent an hour searching the net, including the forum trying to find out how it's rebuilt. It's not in my Haynes manual either.

Thanks for help.

Adam

It's fairly easy, and yes it has to be split open.

The hardest part is getting it back together.

Look at this thread for more info. http://www.theminifo...-about-give-up/

Hi, thanks for the link. It looks like the hardest part of the refurb is opening and closing the casing.
