Had my hubs rebuilt last year with new wheel bearings and ball joints. Went to grease the ball joints the other day put when I put the grease gun onto the nipple I can't get any grease to pump through. The grease gun handle won't squeeze. It seems as though the balljoints grease has gone hard or something. Is that possible?

Have you tried taking the nipples out and trying again? The grease can go hard but easily sorted by dropping the nipple out and gently heating or soaking in solvent overnight.

Take the nipples out and attached the grease gun and give it a pump. As Tamworthbay said, the grease could have just gone hard. Once clear screw nipple back in and try again.

Press the nipple end in. It will have stuck.

+1 - possibly due to corrosion. I tapped the wee ball with a small drift & small hammer, then it went fine.

As above, the tiny little ball-bearing in the end will probably be jammed.

Or a tight one!

Are you trying it with the weight on the joints or jacked up?

Try turning the hub through a bit of an angle (yes, I know, not easy with the grease gun in there).

A decent Grease gun will easily make 5000 PSI, so that should un-jam a stuck nipple.

Yup, weight off joints with vehicle jacked up and swivol wheels while pumping grease. You may need to get someone to help you.
