Hi all,

Easy one hopefully - does anyone know of a suitable phone holder which could be mounted onto the Mini's ashtray?

Occurred to me while I was driving around yesterday and having my phone fly all over the place that this would be quite a neat, inconspicuous place. I have seen another user create something similar from one of the many vent mounted contraptions, but that involved drilling the ashtray itself to mount the unit permanently. I don't quite fancy the idea of not being able to put the unit in the glove box once I'm finished.

Any ideas, anyone?

Thanks

Jacob

Might be a cool little project to design something yourself and have it 3D printed, think it's relatively cheap to get stuff printed these days.

Well as interesting as that was to read, unfortunately it looks as though both individuals who have had a go at this have subsequently given up at the prototyping stage and disappeared without a trace. I have no 3D printing experience myself - would be nice to have something that folded away, but appreciate that this would be a hefty demand in terms of engineering. Something detachable would be equally well accepted. Thanks for the link though.
