Hi all,

I'm after some advice about Autograss Class 1 racing regulations.

Let me set the scene; I have owned an autograss class 1 mini for over eight years now, I brought the car, but failed to get to any races that year, so I stored it in a field, which is where it stayed untill now.

I know that some regulations have been changed, but wanted your advice as to wether the car is easily upgradable to race in two weeks time? The pictures below hopefully show all aspects of the car governed by the regulations.

Six point harnesses have been brought already, along with new harness mounting points. I will also be welding in a bar behind the seat as per the new regulations book.

Thanks in advance, Andy.

I think that the cage isn't up to current spec, box section cages aren't legal anymore, they have to be tube.

Yes but your cage looks like 25x25 box section, which isn't legal

Looks like you're right shifty! Doesn't look like I'll make that race in two weeks after all!

Does anyone know any fabricators that'll be able fit a cage for me, also any ideas on cost. I have found someone on google that'll do £350 for a kit, and £495 fitted.

Cheers, Andy.

I wouldn't spend money on that shell, it's way too heavy to be any good.  Being a clubby makes it heavier, also its got lots of plate repairs on it.  You'd be better off just starting again to be honest.
