Before you start adding things to the tracks try the following.
Find a piece of 1/4" thick steel bar (not 6mm... a full 1/4"). The bar should be an inch or more wide and 6 inches long. Use a file to remove any sharp edges and points. Now stuff the piece of steel in the window track. Push it and pull it into the car and outwards away from the car. Move the steel forward an inch or two and repeat. Do this for both tracks. Do this for the glass in the forward position and with the glass moved to the rear of the door.
This will compress the track a bit so the glass can slide easier. Add your crayons and wax and such if you still feel it necessary after "sizing" the tracks with the piece of steel.
