Hi,

After a long Mini drive, I think my Clutch has started to slip. Well it feels like the engine has fallen out, but I guess it's what it feels like. It happens when going uphill (sometimes) and under hard acceleration.
Is this basically a new clutch?

How much is a new clutch for a Mini? (Hoping they will follow the trend of cheap parts!)

Thanks,
Corey

If the clutch has 'gone' there'll be a big hole in engine where it left through. :-) :-)
Sorry couldn't resist that one.
Seriously though, if the clutch is worn out the engine will rev up under acceleration and the car won't get any faster. Try driving up moderate hill in 4th gear and whilst holding full throttle, stab the clutch pedal for a split second, if it revs up and stays driving the clutch is nutted. Have you checked that the adjustment has free play?
