Hi guys i need to replace the pump i would like to keep as much as i can fitted to the car, dont want to be taking manifolds off etc looking at it the only way is from the top dont think it will come from the bottom.

Is it 2 13mm bolts into the block?

Also looking at taking the breather off and giving that a good clean that looks like its bolted to a plate on the engine is that right?

For the fuel pump you can do it from the top as long as the standard exhaust is fitted, i had to remove my inlet manifold as i have a stage one kit(LCB manifold)
you may need to remove the engine steadies to allow the engine to move on the mounts.

Fuel pump is bolted with 2 1/2 inch bolts, as for the breather canister you may need to remove the timing cover, depending on year

Depending on the age of the engine, the fuel pump may be held on with either a 5/16" UNF stud and nut ot a 5/16" UNF bolt.
If it is a stud and nut you will need a 1/2" AF spanner, if it is a bolt then it could be either a 1/2" or 7/17" AF spanner depending on head size.

Best to get two fuel pump gaskets on hand incase the spacer comes out stuck to the old pump.

Access is a sod, and best done from the top with the engine stone cold.
If you are taking the tappet chest breather off, you will need to replace the nitrile gasket and the rubber seal under the bolt head or it will leak oil.

Thanks for the help guys i have stage one fitted to looks like inlet will have to come off.

it does look abit of a ballache alots of tool dropping and swearing haha.

I will take a picture of the breather thing just to make sure its the right thing we are talking about it sits just above the engine and it sits on the back of the block and above the fuel pump.
