Lucas Lr6 Spot Light , Not Working Can't Bin It

Hi all i have 1 Lucas LR6 spot light ( sealed beam ) that does not work suspect the filament has gone . I am unable to bin the light because i think there a nice looking unit . Do you think this would be of any use to anyone , like just show .

Pretty sure you can just convert it with a kit?

Hmmmm, I am sure you can convert sealed units to halogen.....

That's unlikely because the sealed beam don't have any sort of bulb-holding flange. It's just a glass vacuum sealed unit with a filament(s) pre-fitted. I think you may be thinking of the Lucas SLR700 'Flamethrower' spotlight which has a tungsten bulb, but which can have an adaptor to take a halogen bulb.

Well I expect if your handy with a cutter and some glue I'm sure you could take a flange off another light and attach it to it if you want to keep it that bad

A sealed beam unit is just a big bulb. You can't cut the back of it as it's all glass with the filament inside, just like a bulb. Break the glass and it will 'pop' just as a bulb does.
