It sounds like the air control might be stuck/nutted. Try starting it up and giving it a light tap and see what happens. they can be taken apart and cleaned.

it looks like this.

If it still keeps reving, take hose off valve and put your finger over hole in valve, it should drop to low idle or maybe even stop. If it still revs you possibly have an air leak in manifold. If it drops, you'll need to check further as to whether its the valve or the valve control in ecu.

Hi and thanks

If I block the pipe from the valve the revs lower to idle and if I Rev it seams all ok
Put the pipe back together and it rises again

So does that sound like a sticky valve
Thanks James

Hi just look at the car
From cold it's at 1000 rpm the when warm rises to 2000 approx
If I put my finger over the pipe from the valve it drops down to 1000 rpm
Remove my finger it will rise again
Do I take the valve off and clean
Thanks again
James

Try cleaning it with spray can throttle body cleaner, you can spray intake aswell. If youre tricky you can do it with car running, although it might need throttle to stop stalling.

Nah, you need something with a bit more muscle. Throttle body cleaner desolves the cruddy carbon deposits and flushes then through to get burnt in engine.
