The quick lift brackets seem to be a good idea, but I'm wondering if they are actually work well enough. What is the general consensus on Quick lift brackets for jacking up the car?

Like what?
Are you talking about the original things used on the rally cars?
Or making something?
Or something you have seen?
Give us a clue.

I asume you mean the type used in the '60s?
They we're designed to speed up tyre changes during speed events in the days before car mounted air jacks and quick action light weight trolley jacks.
In their day they were the good idea but like many other pieces of motor sport equipment from that era they've not necessarily the best option.

Good if you have a decent service crew and need to do rapid tyre changes during an event.
Otherwise pretty pointless.
A geed trolley jack can be almost as quick and is far, far safer.

I've got an old Dunlop jack like this at work which can lift a Minis wheels off the ground in about 2 seconds but being such a narrow platform it's not overly stable. When you want to lower it you pull the lever on the handle and it releases a paw on the ratchet system which allows it to drop.
It's quick but I'm never in that big of a hurry to change wheels so it's really just a nice thing to look at.

By decent service crew, read a spare person to stand on them so they don't drop the car.
So read pointless.
You got it in one, Nick. To use that quicklift there MUST be a person standing on the end to prevent the car from simply falling off and causing a lot of damage, probably to the guys working on the car.

Thanks all, I saw the bracket, but did not realize it was for pit crew rally. You answered more than I inquired about. Thank you. Tupers, that jack is really interesting. To answer your question Nick, I saw one in the Mini Sport catalog and wondered exactly how they were used.

I made a jack and the brackets for my rally mini. I find it very useful and quick to use.
The angle of the handle on my jack means that it goes 'over centre' and holds the car up without the need for anyone to stand on the handle. I then use axle stands if i am going under the car (as with any jack). If I am just changing wheels on level ground the jack on its own is safe enough.
