Hi everyone, bit of a newbie on here but after some help!!!

My Mrs has a 2007 mini cooper s, and the other day it started missfiring and hesitating. Codes came up with cylinder #4 misfire, so i've changed the coil pack and the spark plugs and still no joy.

Could this be an injector or the high pressure fuel pump?

Any help greatly apreciated thanks Joe.

Dont think it will be the fuel pump mate, had this problem when working on a bmw, coils and spark plug replaced and all it turned out to be for me was that i hadnt pushed the coil pack in all the way, try taking cyl 3's coil pack off and swapping with 4 and see if the code changes to cylinder 3 misfire, if so you either have a faulty coil or spark plug, if it does not change i would be leaning more towards fuel related, i.e injector, i doubt it would be the fuel pump as you would then have a problem with all 4 mis fiering or lack of fuel...
Thats all i can think of for now! :) and welcome to the forum, this forum is mainly for classic minis but you will find people will be more than willing to give you some advice! ;)

Change the spark plugs then check the codes again(erase then read.. Then run the car then finally check codes a 2nd time)

Moved to Motormouth section for non minis.
This is a forum only for classic minis, totalmini and mini2 sites have much more info for the BMW product ;-)
