Hi all
Looking to change the rad on my spi. Mine is in awful condition but I can't spend much money.

Euro carparts do a standard looking one which is made by 'eis' it's currently on offer at £55. Or do I buy a shiny aluminium one off eBay for about the same money?

I'd go with the STD looking one, you can be pretty sure it'll fitting and working as it should.

If you have a Cooper SPI you will need a rad with the outlet at the bottom, facing the grille, for the sensor unit serving the secondary fan. I don't believe that the Euro car parts rad has this outlet. Pity as it seems value for money otherwise. I'm not sure whether non-Cooper SPIs also have this outlet?

Yes, they do. We have a standard SPi, and the electric fan temp sensor screws in front lower of the radiator.

That's annoying.
Yea I had searched with my reg and it showed that one, but your right, the spec says no outlet switch.
I shall continue my search.

ECP are great for promoting the wrong parts ... not as bad as Halfords but ECP are getting there!

Looked on ECPs website today for some transmission oil for our Pug 75W80. Says they had it in stock .. but when I went to the shop ... nothing. Asked the guy behind the counter and he couldn't find any either ... and hadn't sold any today so ....

There all the same. I'm in the trade and they send out the wrong parts deliberately sometimes so they have your business then use the extra time to source you the right part. Jokers!!
