Hi guys, not liking how my n/s rear wheel is sitting. It's a lot further out the arch than the other side and can't think why.

Subframe, radius arm and bearing are new as are the wheels. Never had this problem before with old parts and as I've said the other side sits fine. Any ideas?

Cheers.

Not yet but didn't realise there was anything to adjust on the rears?

Camber/toe brackets, although my problem is that no one local to me can do it!

Is the rear standard (non adjustable)?

If so I'd be taking measurements from the subframe mounting points in relation to the bodywork and where the radium arm mounts onto the subframe making sure they are the same on both sides.

Cheers for the reply. Had thought of getting adjustable brackets but just don't see why I should need to as had no problems with standard fixed ones in the past. However this may be the only solution.

Is the new subframe a genuine heritage? I've heard that this can happen with some of the copy versions!

As far as I can see the standard brackets are fixed with no adjustment. Good shout with measuring both sides to check they're the same, will do this when I can. If there is a difference though, I would expect it is with the subframe rather than the bodywork, as it all looks straight. And as I've said all ligned up nice before I replaced the subframe.

It's not a heritage part. Have had problems with heritage panels in the past so decided the massive price difference between the two was worth the risk this time but might come to regret that soon. :(

Might just be that your bodywork isn't straight. Wouldn't surprise me if it came like this from the factory. Ideally get the alignment checked.

Any new info on this? I'm having the same problem, but no new parts, and not quite as noticeable.

Common cause is a worn / collapsed bearing and / or pin. The bearing is fitted on the inboard end.

Wouldn't your average alignment only tell you all 4 wheels were aligned? Not the wheels to the body ?

Rear toe-in is adjustable on the rear wheels. See http://www.minimania..._up_method_1048

Have a look at page 321 and the drawing on page 322 in the Haynes manual. It shows a spacer like:

Thanks, I'll give that a check.
