Hi guys i have just replaced my fuel pump and my fuel line is resting on the manifold!!!! Looks like i might be able to change the angle by removing the top of the pump and turning it?

 

Has anyone done this also is there anything you can do with the fuel line being close?

I think you've provided the answer - looks like turning the top is the way to go.

How long is the fuel hose that is touching the manifold. Personally I wouldn't do that on the fuel pump.

i have more hose if needed to but the outlet and the pump is leading the pipe straight out onto the manifold.

 

JohnR - is it the top bolt or the screws that turn it?

if you turn the top it might effect the pump, it might block the flow. Not sure until you get it open.

 

You should be using a short hose (couple of inch) to a metal pipe which goes up and around to the carb, then a small hose again.

I was thinking about using metal pipe but when i took it off it was all hose to the carb, so i thought is is how it must be

Original fitment was how I described, i would recormend fitting some solid pipe and short hose joiners to resolve the issue.

And you can always wrap the exhaust to keep a bit of heat back.

Just spoken to minispares harrogate, where i order all my bits from, they have never had anyone ask if you can turn it lol.

 

I will look at metal pipe what size would you suggest pal?

Just an idea, what about metal braided hose? bit stiffer?? 1/4" bore.

Fuel pipe is 1/4, only few 1275s has a 5/16 pipe

The correct pump to be fitted with a lcb or any aftermarket exhaust is the AZX1817, for any other pump you need to move away the fuel line

You can get a suitable length of fuel hose to be routed away from the manifold, you need at least 1cm of clearance.
