Hi,

Massive shot in the dark, but does anyone out there have a later version boot lock to fit key FS917? I'm trying to avoid the hassle of replacing the whole barrel set to get the car back onto one key after the previous lock turned to dust (breaking the barrel of the lock itself in the process).

In case there are any people out there which have a lock hanging around, or event just the barrel without a key and would like to check - the number 917 should be stamped onto the square shaft of the lock if it's for this particular key. This number would also be stamped onto the barrel.

Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a way of getting a barrel for a given key, so it's down to chance that one of you wonderful people can help me.

Thanks

Jacob

Maybe not, but Minispares have a 3 barrel lock set for £22

How easy would it be to fit these barrels? My GTs boot barrel is missing so would make sense to replace all of em

Quite a pain in the ar$e for the boot one - not sure about the doors as I obviously haven't touched them. With the boot lock, the worst part is getting the retaining ring off to remove the barrel from the rest of the lock - I slipped and stuck a screwdriver through my thumb doing it :-(

Thanks, to be fair the lock is the least of my worries
