My mini is not starting so I've been playing about with it today. It kicks over and I get the odd occasional Fire but hasn't started yet. Anyway the issue now is that it is not kicking over. I think the negative battery terminal is frayed would this make the car not turn over?

If its frayed but the majority is ok then it should still crank over, have you checked the circuit with your voltmeter and checked the earths are ok

No not yet. How do you check the circuit? I don't surpose you might know what else it may be. I was assuming I might have caught a wire in the engine bay.

Fixed it was a bad connection with the negative terminal
