Hi,
Got a new set of caps but they are small (54mm).
What's the size for 12 inch alloys ( 1989 Mayfair ) ?
Thanks in advance .

If it's Rover 12" minilight style alloys then they should be 52mm, however as you say the 54 is too small I guess it isn't Rover minilights. In which case it depends on the wheel - what kind of wheels do you have?

which unfortunatly is about as much use a chocolate Teapot.

pics of the wheel would be better then details can be seen. or pop one off and have a look at the rear or even measure the hole size.

Sorry for the pic.

If I measure the old ones from outside it's 56mm, the hole in the alloy it's 57mm . Really confused here as already go two sets and they are small.

Strange can't any badges for those sizes on mini spares or mini sport .

that looks like a Rover 12" alloy, in which case it should be a 52 mm... The proper caps have clips to hold them in place. Are you sure you are measuring the diameter of the open part - ie the actual hole size?

This is becoming ridiculous, can't get the size right.

The first ones (England flag) are the old ones they measure outside 55mm/ inside 50mm (outer part of clip)

The mini ones (too small) 52mm outside/ 42mm inside

The plain ones (too big ) 56mm outside / 50mm ( similar to original but clips too thick , so won't go in )

This is becoming challenging.

so have you had the wheel of to look for markings?

as they may need caps fitted from the inside.
