Hi,

I have recently had a problem with my 1994 35le losing power then cutting out while driving.

Its been sat for a while in the garage and after 10 mins of its first run it lost power then cut out. after returning to the garage I added some redex and new fuel thinking that was the issue. I ran fine for a few runs out.

However yesterday after again 4-6wks sat the same thing happened. It drove great then lost power after 10 mins, it normally starts again after a few minutes trying to start it. However yesterday it happen 3 times.

I was planning on fitting an inline fuel filter to see if the fuel is being blocked, other than that i'm not to sure what the try.

Has anyone had a similar problem?? Any advice would be great thanks

Ian

Check also the fuel line from the tank to the pump. After years you can have there a rust build up from the misture that comes into the tank by the air that takes the place of the fuel that is going out while driving. Overnight it's folder so the damp in the air in the tank condenses partly to the wall of the tank and drips down to the bottom. The fuel line is the lowest part of the fuel system. Maybe the fuel line is not pure iron, but is it 100% rustfree?

Hi,

Thanks for both your input on this i'll try to take a look this weekend and see what I can find. I was thinking of draining the tank and trying to clean it out also.

See what I find. Fingers crossed
