Hey everyone!  I have a 1960 Mini and have had it about 5 years.  When I did my initial restoration I installed the Newton Commercial kit which honestly was super rigid and didn't fit in very well.  I am looking for something a bit tighter and cleaner fitting but I am struggling to find good reviews of the kit.  I am thinking I will probably spray adhesive it down so its nice and permanent.  I also have some sound deadening under it in the form of this soft jute that looks like this http://cdn3.volusion.com/klmat.yytxn/v/vspfiles/photos/INT-1044-2.jpg?1425797380 

and some tar based dynamat type material on the metal.   Does anyone here have a good take on carpet kits or should I be looking to do something more custom.  I think its one of the least finished looking parts of my car.

The carpet sets are great from newtons, I have installed several full kits and have never had a problem. The kits do need to be trimmed to fit, so takes patience and a bit of thought. You shouldn't need to jute the floor as most kits already come with it moulded underneath. The bitumen pads are great for insulating the floor pans from drumming, but you would need to purchase these separate. My advice would be buy the set and pads and get a trimmer to fit if you're not 100% confident. Would only take 2-4 hours. Generally it'll be somewhere in the region of £350-£500 all in.
