if they same size. as the Auto could come with more than one engine size.

We have the 'small bore'-engines; 850 and 1000 cc. And we have the 'big bore'-engines 1275 and up cc.
You even can use the big bore heads on mall bore engine blocks when you free the way for the valse into the bore.

Cheers guys.both 998.which is best head gasket to use and any other things i should do whilst stripped down.

The best condition one. It may be one has valve seats for unleaded or they have different casting numbers - the raised letters & digits on the top side, under the rocker cover.

Payen head gasket. Cheap copper ones are very dubious.
