Dash Mounted Electric Fuel Pressure Gauge Advice Needed

Looking to get a dash mounted fuel pressure gauge I am interested in this one ( https://www.merlinmo...auge-cbc-fpe-10 ) but they say it needs the correct smiths sender unit.
Is this all i need ( https://www.merlinmo...sender-cbc-ft-1)
and just tap it into the fuel line?

HOW much for something you don't need.

But yes they seem to show that they are both needed to work together.

They can be a useful gauge, certainly a must with higher powered engines as a drop in fuel pressure can result in a high speed lean out and an expensive rebuild. I haven't seen it happen on a Mini, but I have seen it happen on 2 other competition engines, ruined the pistons in both of them.

 

It does seem an expensive set up, though maybe warranted.

I won't be paying that. Just put these up as an example. I'll get the gauge direct from CAI

Yes, with a Tee and I'd suggest fitting it as close to the carb as you can get it.

I won't be paying that. Just put these up as an example. I'll get the gauge direct from CAI

But still not really needed. You would do better with pump(s) that can supply the fueling you need but then have a regulator close to the carb(s) so as not to cause the float to be over powered.

A cheap inline gauge in the engine bay can be good for set up.

Decided on having an adapter permanently inline with a blanking screw and I can still use my sytec gauge as and when setting up.
