Rubber Glue Stuff Behind Arch

What the hell can I do to remove this silicone/rubber/glue stuff?! I have peeled some away but it's now got thicker, I don't want to damage the paint though!

Have you tried oil, like baby oil or WD40, should soften it and make it easier to pick or gently scrape off.

Try panel wipe. You can remove little bits with a carmel wheel. :shades:

Hot air gun and a credit card style scraper. a product like Autosmart tardis will disolve the rest.

Thats silicone sealant by the looks of things.

Therefore theres no compound or solvent capable of loosening it sadly....

However, in my experience, if you take a windscreen ice scraper to the bulky parts, and then using a dry cotton rag, if you rub at it firmly, it will peel it away.

It takes a lot of effort but it will peel off eventually.

Obviously a plastic ice scraper will mark the paint, but if you go carefully and keep in the radius of the wheel arch fitment, you should be fine with a little t-cut after youre finished.
